Michelle Snyder Brain Trauma

Hi, my name is Megan, and I am starting this fundraiser for my dear friend Michelle Snyder and her children. Michelle had a horrible accident at work while filming a promotional video and landed on her head which caused a major traumatic brain injury. She needed emergency surgery to remove half of her skull in order for the brain to have room to swell. We don't know the long-term complications yet, but the doctors are guiding us through that. After being here at the hospital in Boise, Idaho, she was transported out of state to a brain trauma rehabilitation center in Utah. There she is receiving intense therapy. The road ahead is going to be long and hard. Her daughter Nichole and son James can use our prayers and support as they navigate this new reality for them.

The funds raised here will be managed by her daughter Nichole since Michelle is not able to do that right now. The donations that are given will go towards travel costs, meals, and housing costs for Nichole and her son James to escort her to Utah to have rehab at the brain trauma center there. They will be there are an extended period of time which will cost them personally. The donations will also be used for any loss of wages they may experience if they run out of their own paid personal leave days. I also know that they may have to evaluate their living situation once they return home - depending on how Michelle recovers from this major injury which could require extra fees for a new lease somewhere else. I want to be sure that there is money available for any unseen expenses that may come up for medical needs, disability accommodations, etc.

I have known Michelle for over 24 years and love this friend of mine! She has impacted many people and has given so much of herself to her kids and others in her life! Michelle worked with me at Sweet Tea Living for a couple years and then I had the great privilege of having her daughter Nichole work for me, also! She was instrumental in helping me grow my business. This accident will also be impacting Nichole as she will be the primary caregiver for her mom and will not be able to work during all of this.
