My big sister, Michelle Rhoads, has unfortnately experienced extreme health issues resulting in hospitalization on October 2, 2023. She was placed on a ventilator due to organ failure. We were told that doctors were not optimistic on her recovery. Our family and friends were devasted. Michelle's fighting spirit has proven the doctor's wrong. There were improvements and setbacks - two steps forward, one step back. She was removed from the vent on October 9, 2023 and is currently breathing on her own, with little to no oxygen assistance.

With the around-the-clock support from her mother, son, sisters, brothers, aunts, nieces, nephews, boyfriend, and an extremely long list of friends - she is continuing to get better and better slowly each day. She has never been alone.

Michelle has been a stay-at-home, single mother of her 14-year old son, Jaxson. Her income came from running an at home daycare, no limit on days or hours needed for the past 10+ years.

She has a very long, and difficult road to recovery ahead of her. She will be unable to return to home in an undetermined length of time. This also means she will not be returning to providing daycare (her only source of income) any time soon, if at all again.

We would like to reach out to anyone that is willing to offer assistance in helping her family and friends continue to provide support for Michelle when it comes to her medical and living expenses that are continuing to raise each day - hospital and home.

Michelle and Jaxson have lost so much already. We would hate for them to lose much more.
