Hi, my name is Hannah. I am trying to raise funding for a very dear friend of mine Michelle, who has significant medical problems, which are currently undiagnosed. Michelle is only 44 years of age and is the most kindest, beautiful soul. She has gone above and beyond for her family and friends and would help absolutely anybody. It breaks my heart that she is the one in need of help now, which if I could financially pay for it all for her I would in a heartbeat. But unfortunately this isn’t the case.

Michelle’s story…

She just woke up one morning with slurred speech, she went to doctor and had numerous times and had numerous tests with no answers, the current test she’s actually needs have waiting list of year which unfortunately given how rapidly she is deteriorating, waiting that long could be crucial. Since it hasn’t even been a year since she woke with the slurred speech and her whole body has massively deteriorated which has now left her in a wheel chair with immense amount of pain and unable to use her hands and legs at times, she is also now struggling to swallow. This is massively effecting her quality of life and is heartbreaking to have to see. She can’t go out alone, so has lost all her independence. She is very much dependent on her children, friends and family!

Unfortunately due to the extreme pressures on the NHS at the moment she is unable to see a specialist for months, if not years. In order to expedite this and get correct testing and diagnosis, she needs to see a consultant privately which has been quoted around £3500.
