Hello, my name is Cindy Nicoletti and I am fundraising for Michelle Messimer. She is battling Stage 4 colon cancer that has metastasized to her lungs. She has been married for 17 years and has 2 sons ages 22 & 15.

On 8/7/2018 (her son's 18th birthday, Michelle went to the ER and they did a CT scan. She had a mass in her sigmoid colon and nothing could pass through it. After having 10 inches of her colon removed the doctors explained it had invaded 7 lymph nodes and was present in her blood stream. He suggested starting chemotherapy. After 12 rounds of chemotherapy Michelle was given the all clear.

She followed up every 3 months, and never had any issues. On 10/2021 Michelle went in for a routine lab and her CEA was above the normal range. They sent her for a PET Scan and it showed lesions in both lungs consistent with metastatic disease. They did a biopsy and it was cancer and had the same gene as her colon.

Michelle started chemotherapy and did 23 sessions. Now, 2 weeks ago they told her she has 6 months to live. This time Michelle has opted out of traditional treatments and hopes to approach her cancer more holistically. She has begun some holistic therapy but it is very costly. Insurance DOES NOT pay for any of this.

I hope to raise the funds to help Michelle on her journey to beat this awful disease and allow her to have many more years to enjoy with her family & friends.

I met Michelle by chance as my husband, Steve also has cancer and was given 6 months to live. He opted out of chemo and went the holistic route and is now in remission in just 6 months.

I know God placed Michelle in our path and I pray that anyone that can help will consider doing so as it will bless her greatly at this time.
