After a highly successful weekend full of organizing and event planning for California Progressive Alliance, our rental car was broken into in Oakland, CA. Our friend Michelle’s backpack with a MacBook Air, charging cables and back up battery bricks, and countless unique stickers plastered on a storage clipboard were stolen from the backseat.

Pictured above is Michelle (middle) spending quality time with her fellow activists around the time that the burglary occurred. This photo very well may have been taken at the same time that her belongings were being stolen. But I assure you, this incident will not deter Michelle from fighting for a brighter future. She never gives up, and neither should we!

Michelle is a tireless, relentless organizer for Bernie, public radio with KPFK, and is a staple in our grassroots community with Bernie Sanders Metro Squad, among many other projects.

We can’t heal the sentimental loss of these things, but we can try and replace the physical items, namely the MacBook Air, which is a critical necessity to her livelihood and activism. Please donate what you can and help us support one of our own!
