Update on Michelle 3/18
Michelle was transfered to start rehabilitation journey in Salt Lake City.

I reached out to the hospital, and they confirmed that Michelle can receive mail without needing to include her room number. If you’d like to send her a card or letter of encouragement please address it as follows:

Michelle Lemay
Craig H. Neilsen Rehabilitation Hospital
85 North Medical Drive
Salt Lake City, UT 84132

I understand that in our busy lives, finding the time to sit down with pen, paper, and a stamp can be a challenge. However, a simple note or card can provide immense comfort and motivation, especially since she is so far from family. Let’s shower Michelle with our love and support as she embarks on this path to recovery.

Update on Michelle 3/12- We are still waiting to confirm whether Michelle will be transferred to Denver or Utah.

Yesterday morning was tough as the sedation had fully worn off, and the pain set in. She underwent major back surgery, where doctors fused eight vertebrae (T4-T12) together to stabilize her spine. Right now, the focus is on rebuilding her upper body strength and balance. At this time, she has no sensation below her belly button.

In addition to her spinal injuries, both of her lungs were punctured, requiring chest tubes to drain blood and fluid. She also suffered multiple broken ribs and a fractured sternum.

But despite all of this, Michelle has made incredible progress! In just two days of physical and occupational therapy, she is already showing remarkable determination. She has an amazing medical team, truly a blessing, supporting her every step of the way.

Last night, she was released from the ICU and is waiting for a bed just across the hall. Once she moves, she’ll have more space, a better view, and will finally be able to have her own belongings with her small comforts that will make a big difference.

She will remain in Boise for the next 10-14 days (depending on insurance) before transferring to an inpatient rehab facility in Utah to continue her recovery.

Please continue to keep Michelle in your thoughts and prayers her resilience is nothing short of inspiring!

Update on Michelle – 3/10 at 7 PM

Michelle had a good day, all things considered. She is still heavily medicated but, in true Michelle fashion, is already showing signs of forward progress. From what I understand, her spine was impacted from T4 to T12, and at this time, it is still unclear if sensation chest down will return.

In the next 3-4 days, Michelle will be transferred out of the ICU. She will then remain in the hospital for 14-17 days before moving to a long-term rehab facility, where she will continue her recovery for at least three months. Once she is settled and able to receive visitors or care packages, I will provide an update here.

Today, Amber (Michelle’s sister), along with her aunt and uncle, arrived to support her, giving Chase some much-needed relief.

Ways You Can Help Right Now:

• Pray boldly for miracles-for the Lord to restore feeling and healing to her body.

• Pray for her family - for Chase’s strength, clarity, and endurance as he navigates this unimaginable journey. Pray for those sweet kiddos.

• Financial support- I know they are incredibly grateful for any help during this difficult time.

Thank you all for your continued prayers, generosity, and love for Michelle and her family. Your support means everything. I will share more updates as they come.

Update: 3/10
Family received an update from Chase in the early hours of 3/10 Michelle is out of surgery and recovering in the recovery room. The doctor said everything went well, and they were able to fuse everything back together.

At this time, it’s unlikely she will regain sensation from her belly button down. She will also need future surgeries to assist with certain functions. We remain in prayer that God would defy the odds.

While this news is extremely difficult, we are grateful that the surgery was successful and that Michelle is on the road to healing. Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she begins this next phase of recovery. Your support means the world to her and her family.

We will share more updates as we have them. Thank you all for your kindness and generosity.

3/9: We are setting up a GoFundMe for Michelle LeMay, who has been in a terrible accident. She is going into emergency surgery. While she is stable, she remains in very critical condition. Her family is on their way to be with her.

Many of us are deeply concerned and looking for ways to support Michelle and her loved ones during this unimaginable time. We hope to ease the burden by helping her family navigate the challenges ahead.

If you feel moved to give, any contribution would be greatly appreciated and would help alleviate the financial strain on her family in the coming days. 100% of the funds will go directly to her family.
