How do we describe ‘Michelle Fogle’ on this platform? The first words that come to mind are “beautiful”, “kind”, loyal”, “thoughtful”, and “giving”…a friend, a daughter, a grandchild, a niece, a cousin.
Michelle recently went into the hospital for a very routine appendicitis procedure, but due to several complications during the surgery, her life has been irreparably harmed and changed forever. Following the surgery, Michelle was in the Intensive Care Unit for more than a week and remains in the hospital still to this day. Unfortunately, when she is eventually cleared to leave the hospital, she will be returning home to a new and more complicated life. A life that will be dependent upon nutrients being fed to her intravenously in order to keep her healthy and hydrated. A life that will require a tremendous amount of home health care to support her recovery. A life that has needlessly been made more challenging and more expensive to sustain.
Michelle will have a long fight ahead. It will include more examinations, more surgeries, more pain, more recovery, and on top of it, more missed work. Michelle will endure, but she really needs our support, both emotionally as well as financially.
