On Monday October 5th, a dear friend, mother, and wife was hit by a car while out for her morning run. During the accident, Michelle suffered a fractured hip, pelvis, and brain bleed.  The brain bleed has since gotten better, but her hip and pelvis required extensive surgery. She was in the ICU at ECMC for several days and will be headed to a rehab facility in the coming days. Michelle will be immobile for the next 4-6 weeks, and will require weeks of physical therapy after that. She has a long road to recovery, but she is already blowing the doctors away with the progress she has made. Michelle's biggest passion is being active and working out, so we know she will take that same determination and use it fuel her recovery.  This accident has led to unforeseen expenses, along with lost wages, and the family is in need of some extra support right now.
