I’m a stage IV breast cancer survivor training to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in October as a fundraiser for the Ulman Foundation. This page supports the journey — training, recovery, and building a community around choosing life after cancer.
A year ago, my life was measured in scans, treatments, and uncertainty.
Today, I’m training to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.
I’m a stage IV breast cancer survivor. During treatment, I lived at Ulman House while completing an intense round of proton radiation alongside ongoing chemo. I worked remotely. My wife held everything together at home with a toddler and twins on the way. Survival was the goal. Everything else was noise.
Ulman gave me stability, dignity, and a community when I needed it most.
Now that I’m healthy enough to do something big, I’m choosing to mark this chapter with action.
In October, I’ll attempt to summit Mount Kilimanjaro as a fundraiser for Ulman, and as a personal line in the sand. This climb isn’t about proving toughness. It’s about rebuilding strength, trusting my body again, and showing what life after cancer can look like in real time.
This page is about:
- Supporting my training and recovery journey
- Helping me fundraise for Ulman through the climb
- Building a community of people following, encouraging, and showing up
- Turning survival into something forward-moving and shared
I’ll be documenting the process honestly — the workouts, the setbacks, the mental work, and the logistics of training while still living with cancer in the background. Just real life, moving uphill.
Where the Funds Go
Your support helps with:
- Kilimanjaro training and preparation
- Gear and safety essentials
- Fundraising costs tied to the climb
- Direct support of the Ulman Foundation’s mission to help young adults navigate cancer without losing their lives in the process
This isn’t about wiping a slate clean. It’s about building on what already mattered.
If you supported my earlier fundraisers, please know this:
you already did something huge for me. This is not an obligation to give again.
If you want to follow along, share the journey, and be part of something a little wild and very human, you’re in the right place.
Thanks for being here. Let’s see how high this goes.
