On the 18th March my beautiful Mum Michelle Baines tragically gained her angel wings after 8 months in Intensive Care at James Cook. My Mum had a long, incredible courageous fight and fought to live right until the end.
On the 1st August my Mum had a catastrophic brain hemmorage that the doctors deemed “unsurvivable” yet she showed us all just how much of a fighter she could be, making slow but positive improvements. She battled heroically, overcoming multiple set backs and obstacles she encountered during her time in hospital.
Michelle was not just a mother, daughter, sister and friend; she was a bright light in all of our lives. Her bubbly personality, compassionate heart, and love touched everyone in her life. She had dreams and a future filled with endless possibilities, but tragically, those dreams have been cut short. Her passing has left a void in our hearts that can never be filled.
At 19 I have not expected to lose my Mum. Having passed away at only 56.
Our biggest warrior.
