I am reaching out today on behalf of a dear friend and colleague, Michele Blair. Michele posted this to facebook recently:

What Michele didn't say at the time, was that the surgery would remove part of her back tongue, which will result in a feeding tube and hospital stay. Additionally, based on testing, doctors feel that Michele will also need her lymph nodes removed in her throat. Doctors are unsure at this time if the cancer will be completely gone as a result of surgery, so radiation may still be a possibility. If you know Michele like I do, you know she works tirelessly for others. She spends countless hours on her boys, Dante and Moises, her husband Steve, and her hundreds of students that she has impacted over the years.

I know many of us want to support MIchele to help both her and her boys during this difficult time. Michele outlined many ways you can help including a meal train, and rides for Moises. However, help with medical costs would be an added benefit for Michele's family. If you can give, even just a little, to support our friend Michele, your help would be appreciated.
