Michele’s Medical bills - Financial support

This GoFund me is to raise money to help my sister-in-law Michele and my brother Jim with the medical bills and possible decrease in income.

On Friday, December 3rd, Michele had a mishap on a trail ride and took a tumble off of her horse. Approximately an hour later she suffered from the first stroke due to a bleed in her carotid artery on the left side of her neck. She was taken to the hospital via an ambulance where she was evaluated and a CT scan showed a large blood clot in her carotid artery. Michele was given a medication to dissolve the clot. At this point she was care flighted to Fort Worth where a stroke team was waiting for her. During the flight Michele had multiple seizures. Once she arrived, new CT scans were done and full MRI’s were completed. The MRI showed that Michele suffered from 2 strokes. Thankfully no other bleeding and the medication was dissolving the larger clot.

Today Michele remembers everything from yesterday and is starting to recover. Due to the strokes she is currently having a difficult time with word selection and finishing sentences. The doctors has told them that she is doing very well for the size of her effect area in her brain. We are hoping that she’ll be able to come home by Monday. They are looking to move her out of ICU tomorrow.

Again I have created this GoFundMe to help them with the financial cost of the care flight and loss of income due to being on short term disability. They are not ones to ask for help so I thought this was necessary.

Most of all Michele would ask for prayers. We all believe and know the power of God’s healing ability through prayer.
