Hi, my name is Kyle and I'm helping Michele put together this page.
An Aterio-Venous Malformation (AVM) is a cluster of blood vessels in the brain that do not follow a direct pathway. These vessels are misaligned and causes extremely high pressure in the vessels, which results in weakening of the vessels. This is dangerous as these blood vessels become prone to rupturing which would be critical to Michele's health.
In September, Michele, her husband, Michael & their daughter Addalyn are taking a leave from work & school to travel to Boston for surgery. There is no one closer that is willing to do this surgery as the surgery has high risks and Michele will be out of work for most of the year with a possibility that she may not be able to work any longer following the surgery. Even with success there is a high risk of losing use of her right hand and possibly arm.
This fundraiser is being put together by her friends and co-workers to try to offset some of the expenses associated with travel, medical, and lost time at work. Michele will be recovering first in Boston, then home (with physical therapy) for quite some time. Please help in any way you can, we will greatly appreciate your support for Michele and her family. Thank You!
Michele also has Venmo (@Michele-Clifford-2) & Zelle ([email redacted])
