Michele's Battle with Cancer

My Mom, Michele Shepherd, is a God-fearing, hard-working woman that has worked her whole life to provide for her family. She has had her "eye on the prize" of retiring from the Palm Beach County Courthouse in two years for a well-deserved semi-retirement where she could finally enjoy more time with her family and take on more of her hobbies such as butterfly gardens, gardening, and crafts. My Dad is a hard-working, self-employed man that has owned and operated his own local barbershop for decades, and has also worked tirelessly to provide for the family with his goals set on retirement soon as well. Unfortunately, my amazing, beautiful Mom was recently diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer that has stopped our family in our tracks. This has led to significant hardship with my self-employed father being unable to operate his business as he supports my mother through this battle. My Mom continues an uphill battle as she begins radiation and chemo which will lead to the increased difficulty to make ends meet. As my Mom and Dad go through this battle and will continue to lose work, anything you could do will help ease this horrible burden on them and our family. My family hates asking for help; we pride ourselves on doing everything on our own, but I am grateful for GoFundMe for existing for this purpose when people fall on hard times that are completely out of their control, and I realize that what may be a little for someone will add up to a lot for my Mom and Dad during this difficult time.
