Michele Gomez's Medical Fund

Hi all! My name is Kadee and I’m starting this GoFundMe for my parents Steve and Michele Gomez. I am so grateful knowing that most people in Brookings care for and love my parents. They go out of their way to be there, support and take care of not just their friends and family, but everyone here. What some of you may not know is that my mom is going into open heart surgery on March 2nd in Medford, Oregon. 

 My mom has been dealing with a lot of health issues since August 2020 and unfortunately it has gotten worse. She has been out of work since August, and although my dad has been struggling to pay the bills alone, he has managed and does everything he can to take care of her. While she is at Asante in Medford, my dad will be staying there with her until she can come home, which could take up to a week or two. With both my mom and my dad being out of work I am nervous they will get even further behind on their everyday bills and basic needs. I am setting up this GoFundMe in hopes that they can get some financial help during this hard time for our family. These funds will go strictly to traveling back and forth during and after surgery, hospital bills that have started to pile up, and everyday bills.
