The Michele Clement Memorial Scholarship Fund
Michele Clement dedicated her life to inspiring students through the power of business education. From her first full-time teaching position at River Valley High School in Three Oaks, Michigan, to her many years at Niles High School, Michele poured her energy, compassion, and leadership into shaping future professionals through Business Professionals of America (BPA).
She believed in the value of hands-on learning, and under her guidance, students competed at the regional, state, and national levels—gaining skills, confidence, and a strong work ethic that many carried into their careers. Michele led the Niles BPA chapter until her retirement in 2013, and even afterward, she continued to support fellow advisors and students. In 2015, she was diagnosed with cancer, and in 2019, we lost an incredible teacher, mentor, and friend.
This scholarship was created by former students and family members to carry forward Michele’s legacy. It supports students who share her passion for business, education, and leadership.
Last year’s recipient, Emerson Garrard, is currently attending the University of Michigan to study economics and finance—proof of how Michele’s influence continues to open doors and inspire future leaders.
