This is a request for funds to help a young pregnant single mom and a family looking to adopt her infant.
Hello, my name is Christina Perron. I am married to my wonderful husband, Michael, of 16 years and he is the Pastor of Summit Life Church in Addison, Tx. www.summitlifechurch.org We have a church full of people that love God and a house full of 2 amazing "tweens" that keep us busy and fulfilled!
This miracle story began a couple of months ago when I woke up from a dream crying. The tears in the dream were from the joy of holding an infant - one that was clearly mine. Yet when I awoke, I cried because, given my age I knew this was no longer possible.... or so I thought.
Fast-forward a month. A precious couple that attends our church came forward for prayer. They were burdened with the news that their niece had been hiding her pregnancy of 7 months. They shared that this was her 2nd pregnancy out of wedlock. We assured them that God was big enough to handle the weight of this situation and we committed to pray for God's very best for this young mom and little miracle growing inside of her.
While on vacation in Florida, my husband asked if this baby was going to the family that adopted the first baby. I answered in passing, "Last I heard, that family was taking this baby." He said, "Are you sure? Why don't you call and find out?" I wondered why he was insisting on such a thing when we all pretty much knew where this baby was going... she was going to the 1/2 sibling's family. I went ahead and sent a text. "Hey, just checking in on the baby situation. Did the family agree to take the baby?" She sends back a sad face emoji.... and said, "No, they've prayed about it and have no peace over this situation." I looked at Michael in shock- he looked at me and said, "Set up a meeting with the birth mom." So I did, and we did and the rest is history.
Today we find ourselves actively pursuing to adopt this baby that we have named, "Micheala Joy." Micheala means "Gift from God" and well, we all know what "Joy" she will bring! The baby is due to arrive via C-section on August 17th. But now all the pieces of the financial puzzle need to be put into place.
Our first priority is to get this young mom out of her current unfavorable living conditions. I can't go into details, but let's just say that none of us would want a pregnant mom with precious cargo inside of her, living like this. We have found an apartment that can be sub-let for $880. She and her mom can move this week, and stay there through almost the end of August. This will ensure that these next 4 weeks prior to delivery will be healthy and safe for both the birth mom and baby Micheala.
We have also contacted an adoption lawyer and have set up a meeting for early next week. In order to file for an open adoption, the total fees will be $3500. We are thrilled to report that a special someone offered to pay those adoption legal fees in full last night!
