Micheal Torrence Medical Costs

Tuesday 2/6/24 was supposed to be a normal day, but it turned out to be anything but normal. That morning, Micheal woke up with a horrible headache. That headache led to stumbling. His wife, Kimberly, knew something was off. She eventually convinced Micheal to be seen in the Emergency Room. Micheal was seen at Newberry Hospital that day and had a CT scan which then led to an MRI. What was found next was a shock to us all, esp Micheal and Kimberly. Micheal was diagnosed with a brain tumor and transferred to Prisma Health Richland and admitted under the care of a neurosurgeon. Since his hospitalization, Micheal has had numerous scans and they have determined his chest/abdomen/pelvis are cancer free. Micheal is scheduled for an extensive brain surgery tomorrow, Tuesday 2/13/24. The surgery will last approximately 6+hrs. Once the tumor is removed and sent off for pathology, Oncology will see him and come up with a game plan. It's unknown exactly how long Micheal and Kimberly will be out of work, but right now Micheal is being told at least 12 weeks. Anyone that knows Micheal, knows that he would give you the shirt off his back and his last dollar if he knew it would help in any way.
