Michael Greaves Memorial Bench

Mike, who was very well known in the village, has sadly passed away peacefully at the age of 92.

Mike was a much-loved presence in the community — kind, sharp-witted, and always ready for a chat. One of the real highlights of his day was walking past the school most mornings. He genuinely loved stopping to talk with parents at drop-off, and those daily chats gave him a sense of purpose and connection. It really kept him going and gave him a reason to get up and stay active each morning.

We know many local people formed close bonds with him and so that we can remember him and keep saying 'Hello Mike' we would like to raise funds for 'Mike's Bench', to be placed at school.

Mike's funeral will be at Altrincham Crematorium, 12.45, 24th July followed by a wake at The Bear's Paw.

We know how much seeing us all meant to him. RIP Mike.
