Micah’s Eye Surgery

Hello everyone! Our baby boy Micah Jude was born with a medical condition of the eyelid called Ptosis (toe-sis). His eyelid muscle didn’t properly develop and doesn’t completely open. He was referred to the closest pediatric eye doctor which practices in Corpus Christi Texas, two and a half hours away from our home.
After 10 months of observation and very little improvement his specialist decided surgical repair of the eye lid muscle would be needed to avoid musculoskeletal issues in his neck. Micah has to constantly lift his chin to be able to see and since his neck is bent upward the doctor doesn’t want the muscles or bones in his neck to develop improperly.
The only hospital that Micah’s specialist performs pediatric surgeries is Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus which is not in network with our medical insurance. Every fee is charged as out of network which is why we are humbly asking for any financial blessing that you could bless him with to cover the hospital fees for which we are responsible.
