I am a young African American first-generation college student who was raised in a single parent home. I am from Oakland, CA, which is the birthplace of the Black Panther Party. This has inspired me to be a person who brings change to my community. This money will support my new journey at Brandeis University. Furthermore, this will allow me to pursue my career interests in social justice and political activism.
