Michael Arnold’s Accident and Recovery
On August 5, 2025, my son, Michael Arnold, experienced a life-altering car accident in Darby, Montana. While driving on Highway 93, another vehicle suddenly pulled out ahead of him, traveling at a dangerously slow speed. Michael did his best to pass safely, but the other driver accelerated and blocked his path. As he tried to retreat, the car slowed even more unexpectedly, leaving Michael with no choice but to swerve off the road. His Jeep Cherokee overturned and was utterly crushed.
Michael’s seatbelt failed, ejecting him from the vehicle. He survived, though his injuries were severe: a fractured spine, broken ribs, internal bleeding, extensive nerve damage, sprained ankles, and multiple cuts and bruises. Emergency responders found him unconscious, and he was airlifted 64 miles to Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, where he underwent emergency back surgery that same night.
At the time, he had just started his new job, and his health insurance had not yet begun. Michael is recovering, but he faces significant hospital and after-care expenses. Plus, a challenging long-term recovery road ahead.
A little bit about my son: Michael is an avid outdoor sportsman; he loves to hike with his beloved dog, Buford, every day throughout the Montana mountains. He is not only a fabulous chef but also a genuinely caring and generous person, always ready to lend a hand or share a smile with those around him. Any amount you can donate will help pay for Michael’s emergency surgery, hospital bills, rehabilitation, and ongoing medical care — giving him the chance to recover and rebuild his life. If you cannot donate, please share my story – every bit of support helps. Thank you sincerely.
