Michael Hindman born April 22 1960 sadly passed away Jan 2nd. In just 6 very short weeks his body went from bad to worse and the pain and cancer become to much. We are at peace knowing that he loved God and his family very much and made sure to share his love for both and his wishes after his fatal diagnosis. This does leave his widow, Lori Hindman in unimaginable pain and loss and while she needs to grieve and process all that has happened. For their 32 years of marriage, Mike was always a hard worker and the main provider, so their income will drastically change along with all the sudden medical expenses. Mike Hindman, Graduated Wright City High School 1978. Most of his working career was served in Warrenton Mo for 34 years at The Brinkley Company now known as Saf Holland. Mike is a welder by trade and his last position held was lead man over the weld shop for many years. Mike loved to hunt, raise dogs, and work on cars. He could build a car from the ground up and always made sure everyone in his family had great running vehicles. It was a must. He supported his wife, Lori, with many fundraising campaigns with Toys for Tots, St Jude as well as allowed anyone in need to have a place to lay their head and hang their hat while getting back in their feet. Mike and Loris home hosted many families over the years. The past 2 years have been real hardships when Michael had a bad fall off the ladder while painting their house which resulted in back surgery & several screws & a plate in his foot. A year later he had a hip replacement. After some very painful stomach aches, they pressed doctors to dig deeper. Finally, Michael was told he needed to go to the emergency room immediately and his wife was called to meet him there. Once there, he was told that they needed to remove fluid that had backed up into his stomach and overflowed into the kidney. It became abundantly clear. It was a massive amount and more than the doctors claim they had ever seen before in the end. It was over 5500 cc of renal retention fluid. Mike still had pain that was unexplainable so they were sent on a journey of discovery to figure out what was wrong. He went to the urologist and learned he would have to have prostate surjury. Since November 7, 2024, it has been an unimaginable painful journey for Mike. After 3 trips to the hospital, many test and scans, it was finally determined that he had Adenocarcinoma Metastatic Esophageal Cancer that is spreading at an unimaginable rate through his body. It is not curable, and although he was told it was treatable, he found out very quickly that it indeed was not which was quite heartbreaking and he has progressed at a rapid rate of decline ever since. Mike’s wishes are not for himself, but for his wife because he is concerned about her future and the fact that because of everything that they have gone through over the course of the last few years, there’s nothing for her as they’ve had to utilize their resources. He’s extremely worried for her to be able to afford the next steps without him. She needs to move to a smaller home, continue payments on her car, & her own treatment for her rheumatoid and osteoarthritis arthritis which is quite costly and she would not be able to get insurance with her job until 2026. Thank you for your giving hearts. We are humbly forever grateful for anything you can do to help as she continues her life & this hardship.
