Michael’s request for help

Hello, My name is Michael Faubert and I have started this fundraiser to help with medical bills and living expenses. I was involved in a car accident that occurred March 2nd of this year. I haven’t been able to work because of the injuries sustained in the wreck. At approximately 7:30am of that morning I was on my way to work in Houston. I came upon the split of Rt288 and Rt45. I was in the 2nd lane from left entering Rt45. All of a sudden I heard a loud bang outside the right side of my car.  Immediately, out of the corner of my right eye, I saw a flash of a car then another bang as he struck the passenger side of my car. My airbags deployed and glass shattered all over me. Luckily I maintained control of my car and no one else was involved. I was the 3rd car involved and found to be “Not At Fault” by the police since I was not what caused this incident. I just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I have retained a lawyer. I was transported by ambulance from the scene to the hospital ER and had x-rays and CT scans done. I was diagnosed with a fractured vertebrae and a broken hardware screw (from a previous back surgery). Upon discharge, I was told to see my surgeon who did my previous surgery to determine what to do next. He recommended doing surgery from the front side of my body to fix the fracture and do another fusion of L4/L5. I was in a lot of pain (I still am but it’s slowly diminishing) and now in recovery. The surgery was done on March 29th. I spent 8 days total in the hospital (March 27-April 3rd) with the surgery and Physical Therapy for them to feel comfortable with my progress to release me since I live alone. I have filed for SSDI since I can no longer do the job I have been doing. I was told that the wait time is 9 months to a year to get the application approved. In the meantime, I have no income coming in. Any amount that you can spare would be greatly appreciated to help me through this difficult time in my life. Thank you Michael Faubert
