‍‍Michael has reached the final stretch of his high school journey & he’s finishing strong! He has qualified to compete at both the 2025 USATF U20 National Championships & Nike Outdoor Nationals, held June 19–22 at the iconic Hayward Field at the University of Oregon in Eugene.

He will be representing his team, school, & community in the 400m & 800m events…a dream nearly 10 years in the making chasing new personal bests & national titles.

A Champion's Journey

Michael began running track in 2016, driven by a dream to one day become a national champion. That dream became a reality in 2024 when he earned All-American honors in the 800m at the USATF National Junior Olympics in College Station, Texas.

This year, he added two more titles to his name:

North Carolina Indoor 500m State Champion

North Carolina Outdoor 800m State Champion

Now, with your help, Michael will continue chasing his dreams on the biggest stage yet…and even bigger dreams beyond.

Next Stop: Team USA?

In addition to these championship races, Michael is working to qualify for the USATF U20 National Team to represent Team USA at the 2025 Pan American Games in Asunción, Paraguay this August.

This trip is about more than medals…it's a stepping stone toward his future goal.
