Faith Over Fear: Standing Beside Michael Through His Fight with Lymphoma

We’ve been deeply moved (and a bit overwhelmed) by the outpouring of love and prayers as Michael begins his fight against lymphoma. The past few weeks have honestly been a version of living hell we wouldn’t wish on anyone. Through that though, it has also been an incredible reminder of the strength that comes from faith, family, and community.

While we don’t know what the future costs look like, we are grateful to share that we’ve been blessed with the means to cover our deductibles/max OOPs, and a few already “not covered” genetic tests so far . Still, as many of you have asked how you can help, we wanted to create a space for that support to flow in a meaningful way.

This GoFundMe isn’t about financial hardship, but more about community care and peace of mind. We honestly don’t yet know what all of the costs will look like: travel for hospital stays, Michael stepping away from his job, continued comfort items during chemo, meals for long treatment weeks, and the small things that bring light to his really hard days.

Every contribution, prayer, and message helps lift a little bit of the weight and allows us to focus on what matters most, Michael’s healing and time together as a family.

Your support will help us:
• Cover travel and lodging for appointments and inpatient stays (we traveled -1200 miles just in the past two weeks for his appts )
• Prepare healthy meals/snacks/smoothies and any comfort items during treatment
• Create small moments of normalcy and joy for our kids in the middle of it all (they have been such troopers while we manage “daddy’s back pain”)
• And finally to allow us to keep our focus on recovery, not logistics

We’ll continue to share updates here as Michael moves through treatment, both the hard days and the hopeful ones, so you can walk this journey with us.

Our prayer is that by sharing Michael’s journey, we can spread awareness, spread the love that continues to be poured into us, and when the times comes, pour back into the community who is loving us hard right now.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love, your encouragement, and your prayers. Every bit of kindness helps carry us through.

Michael, Kristen, and Family
