Michael's Legacy: Support His Family Now
Donation protected

Aloha, It's with an incredibly heavy heart that we share the unexpected passing of Michael Thomas Floyd. Born on May 30, 1968, in Chicago, Michael truly beat to the rhythm of his own drum. He was the life of every party, a man whose laughter you could hear a mile away, and who was always, in every goofy way, smiling. Michael was the epitome of a "glass half full" kind of guy, always finding the bright side and going with the flow.
Michael proudly served in the U.S. Navy and had an immense love for his friends and family. He adored the beach and embraced life with a spontaneous spirit. While he wasn't much of a planner, Michael did have dreams—big dreams—of building sustainable tiny homes and was actively working towards making that a reality before he was unexpectedly called to rest. Though Michael's heart may not have been strong enough to see his dreams come true, it was always strong enough to show up when it was needed the most.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Kelly (Kevai) Floyd; his children, Stefanie Renee Flores, Jasmin Bleu Joplin, and Mikaia Jo Floyd; his father, Raynard Floyd; his sisters, Nikki and Leslie; and his brothers, Andre Floyd and Christopher.
Due to Michael's characteristic lack of planning, our family is now facing the unexpected burden of cremation costs and his debts. In these tough times, we are humbly seeking your support to raise $15,000 to cover these expenses. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to giving Michael the farewell he deserves. If you're unable to donate, sharing this GoFundMe with your network would be deeply appreciated.
Thank you for your love and support during this incredibly difficult time.
