Michael’s fight against Lupus & APS

Donation protected
Michael has been hospitalized since January 1st, 2024 from complications of Lupus and Antiphospholipid syndrome. He had many set backs, and is fighting to come home. Please help support his costly medical bills.

He went into the hospital with pains in his abdomen due to his lupus attacking his organs. We then found out that he had developed pancreatitis. He had to get a stent put into his gallbladder and pancreas. Afterwards he started internally bleeding. His body went into septic shock and he went into cardiac arrest for 6 minutes. They were able to bring him back to life. As a result he was put on a ventilator for a week. Both of his kidneys than failed causing him to go on dialysis. He needed several blood transfusions, blood platelet, and blood plasma transfusions. He also had three small strokes. Now he has developed a blood disease called Antiphospholipid syndrome. His body needs a blood thinner to avoid clotting but every time they try to give him a blood thinner he bleeds internally. They are trying to regulate his blood. He has also had the complication of Covid and pneumonia causing another set back.

My uncle is a very athletic guy. His passion is baseball. He has been playing softball since 1990 and has won many championships. It’s not easy for his family and friends to see him in the hospital for so long like this. Any amount of generosity would be greatly appreciated. Please keep him in your prayers. Thank you.
