Michael's Care and Expenses

The love of my life, Michael, is terminally ill. He has last stage respiratory failure, kidney failure, and last stage congestive heart failure because of the kidney and respiratory failure. He’s not a candidate for heart surgery any longer. He’s in a hospice in Houston. His out-of-pocket hospital bills are over $10,000. They discharged him to home care hospice. He went to Phillip’s house in Richmond, and I live in Spring. It is a long drive from Spring.

Please help us.

Yesterday, 4/3/2025, I had to have all of my upper teeth removed and most of my lower teeth removed. I have upper dentures and a lower partial. I was in shock yesterday when the oral surgeon’s office advised me that the $2900.00 that I paid in December from my inheritance from my aunt was not enough for my surgery. They made an error, and now I owe $500.00 more. I don’t have the money.

It’s going to be very hard, losing him and having to make major life changes like selling our house and moving to a smaller place. I can’t afford the house on just my income. We are in bankruptcy, Chapter 13. The trustee payments are $3000.00 a month.

We have been having problems with the house for over a year due to rodent infestation. I hired Critter Control, and they are still working on the house. Moving out will help eliminate any rodent activity.

I found a smaller place. I have to put earnest money down, $10,000, and move there as a rental for $1,000 a month until we sell our house.

We owe $137,900.00 on the house and hope to sell for $220,000. With closing and realtor fees, we will be lucky to clear $90,000. I have asked the owner to allow us/me to owner finance the difference of about $69,000.00.
