Hi, my name is Donna, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my amazing husband, Michael Flake. Michael (the love of my life), was diagnosed with stage 4 adenocarcinoma cancer of the glandular cells that has spread from his colon, to his liver, to the lymph nodes in his chest in April 2025. He started chemotherapy treatment on 5/20/2025. On 7/17/2025, Michael was rushed to the hospital via 911 and spent 6 days there. He was home for one day when he was rushed again via 911 and was transferred to a different hospital. He had to undergo emergency surgery due to serious complications. It has turned our world upside down even more.
Michael is not just a husband - he's a father, a Grandfather, a friend, and a fighter. He's always been the one to lift others up, help out without hesitation, and bring laughter to everyone, even on the hardest of days. Now, he needs your help.
The financial burden of fighting cancer is overwhelming. His diagnosis and his Doctors have not allowed him to work right now. Michael received an email from his employer with a notice of dismissal. This has left Michael without Insurance. I have also lost my job due to the immediate need for Michael's appointments, hospital stays, treatments, emergency surgery, and all the other complications that we have encountered during this time. We are now facing costs that we never could have imagined. The donations that are sent will go towards:
• Medical Bills and follow-up care
• Travel to and from centers
• Prescriptions and recovery supplies
• Everyday expenses while we are out of work.
We are doing everything we can to stay strong, but we can't do this alone. If you're able to donate - no matter how small the amount - it would mean the world to us. And if you can't give, please share this fundraiser with others and on other social platforms.
Please keep Michael in your prayers as he continues to fight. We are so grateful for every bit of support .
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, support, and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
