A year ago I had the pleasure of meeting this incredible young boy, Michael, and his wonderful family. Michael has not had an easy life but you would never be able to tell. He never complains and he always worries about others before himself.
Michael was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease followed by autoimmune encephalitis at just 4 years old. He has received tremendous treatment from his teams at both LG Health and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
On August 14th, less than one month from now, Michael will be admitted to CHOP to begin chemo for 10 days and following that he will receive a bone marrow transplant. If all goes well he will be completely cured! (We are praying)!
Michael will be at CHOP for 4-6 weeks and following that him and his family must remain in Philadelphia close to the hospital for an additional 2-3 months.
The family lives in Lancaster County and will need to relocate for the procedure and months following. As you can imagine, the costs in doing so are significant. The entire family is putting their lives on hold as any parents would do for their child.
I have made it my personal goal to raise every single dollar I can for this family who means so much to me. Please, if you can give anything at all, anything...it all helps. Even sharing this page will help!
