Support Michael during this tough time!

I am starting this GoFund me with the permission of Michael and Gabby. In hopes to be able to relieve some of the burden that Michael and Gabby are currently dealing with due to Michael’s diagnosis and having to relocate to Nashville. They need to focus on making sure he gets the best treatment he can get. So he can get back home and be with his wife and daughter. Below is a statement from Gabby.

Michael was admitted to the Evansville, IN Emergency Room on 11/16/23 after having chest pains and shortness of breath for several weeks. After numerous tests he was transferred to the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute in Nashville, TN. Michael has been diagnosed with B-cell lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma. He has malignant cancer cells in the lymphglands of his chest and abdomen along with his left ninth rib. The malignant cells have also caused fluid buildup in his left lung. This fluid also contains malignant cells.

He currently has a chest tube in to drain the fluid off his left lung. So far, over 2 liters of fluid has been drained. On Monday 11/27/23 he will be undergoing chest surgery to remove the remaining fluid in the upper portion of his lung cavity that his chest tube is unable to drain out.

Michael will begin chemotherapy the week of 11/27/23. His first round will be intensive for 4-5 weeks. If he reaches remission at that time he will be able to return home to continue his treatment outpatient.

Michael and I want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts who have reached out with such kind, inspirational words and for all who have lifted us up in prayer.

We recognize that we have along road ahead of us. We recognize that we will have good days and bad days. We recognize that we have each other and the worlds most precious child at home. All the reason to fight with everything we have ♥️
