At 20 weeks Ashley Raulerson & Steven Willard were informed by their doctor that something was wrong with their unborn baby's heart. As you can imagine, hearing this news was quite difficult to deal with. Upon further appointments with a fetal cardiologist at Wolfson's Children Hospital, it was confirmed that Baby Michael Manning has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). It's a condition where the left side of the heart does not develop properly. Because of the condition, after birth he will be going through open heart surgery at just a week old (Norwood procedure). This fund is to help with bills and other expenses as Ashley will not be able to work due to the baby being in the hospital and all the special care he will need in the months following his first surgery. He will be subject to two more surgeries following the first. One at five months (Glenn procedure), and hopefully the last at four years old (Fontan procedure). Being that Ashley is due August 25th, which is only a few short weeks away, donations or any other form of support (such as prayer) will be greatly appreciated.
