In early 2021, Michaella Knight welcomed her son, Eyan, into the world. Like any mother, she dreamed big for him—of a life full of love, learning, and a future built on steady ground. She nurtured his spark and cheered on his curiosity. Now, with her unexpected passing in May 2025, those dreams don’t disappear. Dreams like hers don’t die with the person—they live on in the people willing to carry them.
Now four years old, Eyan is bright, deeply curious, and full of life. He gravitates toward books, builds elaborate stories with his toys, and lights up when someone gives him their full attention. Dragons Love Tacos is currently in heavy rotation. His warmth and joy create quick connections—he’s the kind of kid who pulls you in without even trying. What stands out most about Eyan is that despite what he’s been through, he hasn’t lost his joy. He carries a quiet strength and an openness that hint at a future full of possibility. A light to each rooms he enters and a little guy shaped not by the wreckage of tragedy, but by the joy God shows through him and love those working to build him a new foundation.
Without a father, Eyan has lost the only sense of stability he knew and now looks to the people who love him to make sure his world doesn't collapse and the wreckage becomes a turning point toward God’s grace.
Eyan is currently cared for by his extended family, with temporary guardianship in place through the Payne County Court. His time is shared between relatives all working hard to provide stability and structure in a home where he knows he is fully wanted and will develop a deep sense of belonging.
His grandparents and extended family all doing their part to make sure Eyan’s immediate needs are addressed. As a family of faith, they are working to be sure he is raised to know God and respond to his goodness by helping to shape is life into one of confidence, peace, and purpose.
This fund is one of the ways family and friends are rallying around Michaella’s dreams for Eyan. It’s here to help with what he needs today—and to start laying the groundwork for his future.
Here’s what that looks like:
• Immediate needs: clothes, bedding, food, medical care
• Short-term care: counseling, daycare, school prep, transportation
• Long-term goals: a simple fund for education and life-building opportunities
No dramatic pitch. No pressure. If you knew Michaella, you know she’d want Eyan to be safe, steady, and loved. If you didn’t know her, we hope you’ll see that her dreams for Eyan are worth investing in: a boy who’s lost more than most his age, yet still has so much more than many—the love of family and the joy God designed him to be. She gave him the best of herself and left with others her hope for what could be. Now, we have a chance to help him grow into all of it.
Thanks for reading. Thanks for caring. And if you feel moved to give, thank you for being part of Eyan’s story.
