Flying for a Greater Purpose

Dear Friends,
In August of 2013, I gathered all of my belongings and moved to Longview, Texas where I am studying mission aviation at LeTourneau University. God has given me a dream to change this world through aviation, and I am learning to chase after that dream with everything in me. I have a vision that my life will one day be drastically changed from how it is today. Ten years from now, I see myself in a foreign country, delivering food to the hungry and hurting, medication to the sick and dying, and hope to the lost and broken. Mission aviation is an avenue and a tool that God uses to rescue those who are less fortunate. All of that to say, I now face a huge dilemma by following my dream. First, it is an extremely expensive career to pursue, and second I will be making little to nothing as a missionary pilot in order to pay off my debt. I am asking you to pray about joining me as I fulfill God's calling upon my life. In Matthew 16:24-25 it very clearly says, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life would lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it." I am learning every day how to "lose" my own ambition, pride, goals, and ultimately my life so that I may be free to follow in the footsteps of the Father. To be honest, I have no idea what the future looks like, but I think that is the beauty of it all. As I trust and put my faith in a future that I do not fully understand, I believe God will work miracles in and through my life. Will you be a part of my journey? Will you join me in changing the world through aviation one small step at a time? My goal is to raise $15,000 to keep from having to take any further personal loans. This amount of money will help me complete the last stage of my flight instruction this next semester - my commercial pilot's certification - and launch into my senior year. I am so grateful for all the churches and individuals who have already invested in my education and future. I would not be where I am without you!
Even if you can't invest financially, please pray for me as I seek God's direction as to where He would have me serve in the future. Thank you for your time, support, and most importantly your faith. I look forward to what God has in store as I sow seeds of hope and life to the millions of lost souls across the nations. Change starts with one person. Will you help me be that change in a person's life?
