Hello! I am in need of some personal fundraising for my education. I starting my education journey in 2009 at MCTC and graduated with an Associates degree in 2013.  I transferred to Metropolitan State University in the fall of 2013.  I have worked hard to continue my educational journey.  Recently I encountered a barrier of available funds. I am only 6 classes away from obtaining an Individualized Studies Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Gender Studies and Human Services.

I found my passion for helping people get into, stay and graduate from college. I currently am an administrative assistant for the program that helped me graduate from MCTC (TRIO Starting Point). For me to continue growing in my career I will need more education.  I truly feel that my education is bigger then just me. Getting my education allows me to qualify for positions that help more students obtain their own degrees.  

I have exhausted the student loan option and now am faced with paying out of pocket for the remainder of my classes. I am shy about asking for money because I understand the meaning of it and its place in life. I have most of the funds but I am short $3500.00 for the remainder of the classes and materials.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  With this help I plan on having my degree at the end of May 2018!
