Hey, my name’s Michaela. I’m 22 years old and I’m moving from Edmonton to Vancouver this August to start university at Emily Carr. I've wanted to pursue an education in art & design for the past 4 years but my negative self image and fear of rejection kept me from applying. I have had many adverse childhood experiences and as a result my mental health & self image needed my attention when I finished high school. During my time off from school I’ve worked a full time job, made art and have spent a lot of time looking inwards and healing. Because of how much I’ve changed on the inside, I now value myself enough to follow what my soul has been calling me to do. The funds I raise through this go fund me will go towards travel costs as I secure housing, my first months rent, moving expenses and living expenses as I transition from employee to student.
