Michael's Marathon to Worlds

Michael Martinez is one of the most hardworking, and selfless people I have ever had in my life.  I have never seen someone show more commitment and heart towards something, than what Michael has shown towards Kettlebell Sport.  


Michael has qualified to represent Team USA at this years World Kettlebell Championship in Madrid, Spain.  Michael is not the type of person to brag or boast about this accomplishment, because he is not the type of person to tell you what this dream actually means to him.  But, I will tell you that for Michael, competing in November is something that would be life changing.


Michael is the man who quietly helps others reach their goals.  He has helped someone correct their running stance and helped them train in order to reach their marathon PR, he has helped bring friends and athletes back from injuries with his steady hands and consistent care, and there are police officers, and corrections officers who owe their academy success to him and his guidance. Michael wouldn’t give himself any credit for these things.  He comes home at night and is proud of what other people have accomplished, but I think he should have a chance to feel truly accomplished as well.


While Michael has qualified for this amazing opportunity, it is not without its own hurdles.  Athletes who are traveling to Madrid are responsible for every expense. This includes travel, food, boarding, uniforms and even entry fees into their events.


I am humbling asking for help, because I know Michael will not ask for himself.  Any donation is something that would be wholeheartedly appreciated, any small amount would help and no amount is too little.
