Michael's HOPEshot to Supercross

Whew! Who knew motocross was not only one of the most physically and mentally demanding sports out there but also financial demanding. Well that’s exactly what we’ve learned in the last 6 weeks. Michael has been rising to the occasion both mentally and physically but it has become inescapably evident in order to keep moving forward we will need a little help.
Michael has progress incredibly with training in between races, following a professional physical training regiment, focusing on cardio, core and grip strength. But also training with a motocross coach. Dad maintenances and preps the bike. Sisters help with watching the baby so Mom can focus on loading the trailer, being Michael’s photographer and momanger. Our family loves working together to support him, we want to keep that going. We are so grateful to Fick and Son’s Plumbing for helping us get to the last race.
With a sport like this there are no bake sales, car washes, candy bar sales or any fundraisers you would normally see with team sports. This is our effort to fundraise to support Michael for the next SWAPMOTO race series which runs AUG 30th to NOV 1st and through the winter practices in preparations for Supercross Futures race in January
Below is a break down of cost to get us through the next 9 weeks races series and 2 1/2 months practices to follow. We are looking to fundraise for under HALF of the cost.
Track fees for practice $30.00 x 30 = $900.00
Entry fee race $60.00 x 5 = $300.00
Gas for bike $1000.00
Bike maintenance/parts $ 2000.00
Gear $2000.00 (Michael has currently out grown his helmet, neck brace, knee pads, jersey and pants)
20 Lessons with his coach $2400.00
Camping at track night before race fees $30.00 x 5 =$150.00
Travel cost $2500.00 ( Gas to and from tracks for practice/races )
Total cost for 5 months $11,250.00
Our fundraising goal $4,400.00
We are hopeful with our all out family effort and your help Michael will continue to excel, win races and ultimately get a full sponsorship.
