Hello,
My name is Michael Braun and I am 14 years old. I am a freshman dance student at Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan where I train for about 25 hours a week.
At IAA I am working really hard each day in both academic and dance classes. I am proud to share that my current GPA is 4.0
In dance, besides performing at the academy in Swan Lake in December and February , I also attended two dance conventions where I received the Teen Outstanding Dancer Runner-up Award at NYCDA Kansas City, and Teen Male BreakOut Artist Runner-up Award at NUVO Chicago.
For the past six years I have also been studying piano and I take gymnastics classes whenever the time permits.
This summer I want to keep working on improving my technique in dance therefore I have auditioned to several summer programs. I was excited to find out that I have been accepted to Complexions Contemporary Ballet Summer Intensive in Detroit and the Dutch National Ballet Academy Summer School in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
I will also like to attend the Teen Outstanding Dancer Competition and workshops at NYCDA in New York City.
However, programs like these can be costly. Tuition, travel, housing and meals easily add up to astronomical numbers.
My parents are working several jobs in order to cover my tuition at Interlochen and they are not able to cover all the extra expenses for the summer programs. I really hope I can lift some financial weight off their shoulders through this campaign.
$5000 is my goal, but I will be eternally grateful for any and all contributions. I will also really appreciate if you can help me share this page with all your friends and families.
