Many of you may not know that Michael has been facing a series of health issues for quite a while.   He had his colon removed ten years ago due to a severe case of ulcerative colitis.    Recently, he was diagnosed with Crohn's disease, which is rare to have in addition to colitis.  He  had surgery last Thursday and has been in a lot of pain.  Doctors are not able to figure out why he keeps getting sick and inflamed.

Colitis and Crohn's are difficult to manage, and Michael may look normal, but his health issues are scary and frustrating for him.   His temporary loss of employment due to the pandemic and inadequate health insurance coverage  has left him overwhelmed, both emotionally and financially.  It is a long road ahead, starting with a new infusion medication.  If insurance cannot cover it, the cost will be $4,700 per dose!   

Michael would never ask for help, so as his friends and supportive tennis community, let's rally around him and get him through this crisis!
