Michael "Weezy" Huizar - Memorial Services

Services held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Sat May 21st @ noon. Reception and lunch to follow at McKinley Park by the tennis courts.

As many of you are learning, our beloved Michael was hurt on K Street Mall on Wed 2/9. We are unsure of the exact circumstances on how that happened, but he went into surgery late that night and though he was able to hold on for a bit, he eventually passed on Tues 2/15. 

 

I remember all our laughs, our late nights in his grotto on 57th, the Thanksgiving dinners that started at 11p after we all got off work, the Christmas Eves and midnight masses, the dinner parties and the coffee dates, the amount of mayonnaise we ordered w our fries, the amount of times I texted him and then he would call and I’d decline, the lectures I received and history lessons I didn’t need, the inappropriate jokes, the wine trips, the birthdays, the couple years he left a Xmas tree on my porch, the bbqs w him at my house, the time he met my dad, the day my mom told me “what a good looking man” he was! The memories were endless w Jackson. I will forever be grateful to have known and loved him and had such a wonderful friend.

Michael considered so many of us to be family and touched so many hearts throughout the Sacramento area and beyond. If you knew Michael, then no doubt you had some great memories with him. He will be so incredibly missed - his passing leaves a hole in so many hearts. Please feel free to share any memories, pictures, etc. you may have with him.
