Michael Waters Funeral and Family Fund

Please read to the end, thank you for your time. . . Michael Waters impacted everyone he met in some way. He was not the kind of man you meet and forget, he’d make sure of that. The most charismatic and determined individual I’ve had the pleasure of knowing, the embodiment of “Mamba Mentality” (Kobe, his favorite athlete’s philosophy).

Unfortunately, on August 26th, 2023 Michaels journey in human form came to an end. If you knew Mike, you know the disbelief and heartbreak that was felt. Nowhere was this felt harder than for his family, Taney Medina, and their two beautiful children, their son 4 year old Louie & newborn baby girl Samira Nátural. Mike was the main supporter for his family and this is why I’m writing to you, the community, right now.

Taney and Michael’s mother Michelle are dealing with all the funeral expenses, which on average costs $7000. Taney has not been able to work due to pregnancy and childbirth and is currently behind on rent.

This money will go to funeral expenses and financial support for the family of Michael Waters. They need our help now more than ever. A celebration of life is being held on September 9th (Mike’s 27th birthday) at 2006 NE 52nd Ave for anyone that would like to stop by anytime after 2pm to pay respects. Open house potluck gathering, bring any food or drink you are compelled to.
