Michael Vitali Memorial

Patriot. Husband. Father. Son. Brother. Friend.

On November 2nd, 2021 this week, our community lost a dear friend to most everyone. A beloved wife lost an adoring husband. Three beautiful and talented kids lost their father. Like most of us, we're simply left without words as our friend, husband, father, son, brother, colleague, neighbor, dedicated Cleveland Browns / Indians fan and professional mentor left us suddenly for God's much greater calling.

Mike Vitali attended Purdue University and received his Bachelor of Arts, History. Mike then went on to complete his Master of Arts, Education & Instruction, which provided him his incredible acumen for being the mentor and leader that he was throughout his life.

Mike "Dick" Vitali was a Patriot and defended our nation's safety and security as a leader in the US Navy. Mike was a S-3B Viking Instructor & Mission Commander and led multiple deployments across Asia and the Middle East. Mike's service record led to several promotions as a P-3C Orion Instructor & Mission Commander, an Operations Officer & Maintenance Officer for Navy Maritime Patrol Squadron, Branch Chief for US Special Operations Command, Commanding Officer & Executive Officer for the Navy Maritime Patrol Squadron, Deputy Director, Navy Senate Liaison Office, Director, Senate Affairs, DOD, Office of the Asst. Secretary of Defense and most recently, Sr. Legislative Affairs, DOD, Office of the Secretary.

Outside of work, Mike Vitali was the "cool dad". Mike and Tracy frequently served as host for each of their beautiful kids' neighborhood gatherings. They consistently opened their home and extended an invitation to join them in celebrating life, family, friends and community.

Mike and Tracy, along with their three amazing children - Gabby, Bella and Michael - have touched nearly all of us in our own unique way. Help us support them during this most difficult goodbye to their Patriot, Husband, Father, Son, Brother and Friend.

The funds will be used by the Vitali family to defer costs around funeral expenses, family logistics, and to alleviate future financial hardships. For ongoing updates for the memorial services, please visit the Vitali GiveInKind page
