In Loving Memory of Michael T. Jay Gallagher

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Michael T. Jay Gallagher, who left us suddenly at the age of 34. Michael courageously battled type one diabetes (ketoacidosis) over the past two years, enduring many hospital visits while striving to manage his health.

Born on October 23, 1990, Michael was truly one of a kind from the very beginning. With his generous spirit and compassionate heart, he touched the lives of everyone around him.

Michael dedicated himself to caring for others through his work at Village Crest Nursing Home in New Milford, Connecticut, and Keystone Nursing Home in Danbury, Connecticut. He found purpose in service and joy in keeping himself busy. Outside of work, Michael loved riding his one wheel, spending time with friends, and embracing new adventures whenever the opportunity arose.

Michael is survived by his loving mother, Kimberly Godbout, and his sisters Jessica, Lauren, and Kathaleen. Our family is devastated by this sudden loss and is leaning on one another as we grieve.

In this time of heartbreak, we are reaching out for support to help cover unexpected funeral expenses. Any contribution—no matter the size—will help ease this burden and allow us to honor Michael’s life in a meaningful way. Above all, we are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support shown to our family during this difficult time.
