On Monday, October 14, 2019 we prematurely lost a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a great friend and a devoted comrade, Michael Aiesi. At the young age of 40, Mike lost his short battle with an aggressive form of cancer and he died peacefully at home in the arms of his wife Sam. Mike leaves behind his wife and two baby girls, Vada and Claire. He loved nothing more than being a father and he was happiest when he was spending time with his girls, holding them and watching them grow. He had recently told me, that he wanted 10 more, just like them. Sadly, his daughters will now grow up without their father.
Mike served our country in the U.S. Army, immediately after he graduated high school, in 1997 and he continued to serve our country until 2008. Mike took great pride in his service and he earned numerous awards and decorations, but Mike mostly cherished the friendships he formed along the way. Those who knew Mike will truly miss his presence here and his sense of humor.
Mikes' life ended too soon. His family and friends are now left with the memories of the good times he shared with them. Mike was just beginning his life as a husband and a father and now, he won't be here to experience the best of it. I am thankful that I took the opportunity to visit my dear friend a few times in the months before his passing. My last visit with him, I promised him that I would watch out for his wife and his girls, and this is just one part of me doing just that. Any funds raised here will go directly to his wife Sam and his two baby girls, to help with any costs related to raising their young family. Mike would have provided them with the world, let’s all come together, to allow him the opportunity to still do just that.
John 1:16 From the fullness of his grace, we have all received one blessing after another.
