This GoFundMe is dedicated to the loving, resilient family of Michael Stanley Gallisdorfer. Michael, often lovingly referred to as MSG, tragically took his own life on 6/30/2025, leaving his wife Cheryl a widow and his ex-wife Angel and their three children without a father. The aim of this GoFundMe is to tie up the many loose ends left behind by Michael and to aid in the support of both parties affected by his death.

Michael was a troubled individual the last few months of his life, but I urge you to remember the Michael we all knew and loved. The Michael who was a beacon of hope and change within our small community. From his desires to clean up the city’s water supply by investigating the Dupont Dumps in Cheektowaga (an inquiry which would lead him to earn a PhD in Water Engineering) to the many “revivalist” attempts made on countless bars and restaurants throughout downtown Buffalo, Michael was on a mission. A mission to elevate Buffalo and all those who live here into a new beautiful reality. Mike personally saved my life in 2017 by talking me out of taking my own life. He did it by sitting me down and uttering what then was a beautiful and simple truth: “The only way out is through.” Today we help those closest to him “Get Through.”

Please donate what you can. The money collected here will be used to cover the funeral/living expenses caused by his sudden death as well as provide support for Cheryl, Angel, and his three children. After the funeral is taken care of and Cheryl is back on her feet, any further money donated will be allocated into three trusts for each of his children. The contents of those trusts will be used for future educational/career expenses.
