Michael Sheehan -- injured in a car accident

Our fellow criminal defense attorney, Michael Sheehan, was hit by a drunk driver two weeks ago when he was coming home from guitar lessons.  Mike suffered significant injuries due to the impact, and his jeep rolling multiple times.  After almost two weeks, he was discharged from Swedish and moved to the Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital in Aurora.  He is in good spirits considering the numerous broken/shattered bones and surgeries he has endured.  In true Public Defender form, Mr. Sheehan objected to this "gofundme," and asked for any donations to be made to "worthier causes."  Once conscious in the hospital, he asked for leniency for the drunk driver who rear-ended him.  Mike Sheehan has served as a public defender, an ADC attorney, Federal CJA Panel attorney, and a pro bono attorney across Colorado.  Mike and his wife Nicole are parents of two young children.  For anyone who has worked with Mike, he always takes the time to help us with legal issues.  For anyone who has seen him in trial or been defended by him, he is a true defender.  Over his objection, we know what it is like to be a sole-practicioner, and would like to help him and his family through his healing process.  There are several attorneys working on covering his court appearances, but we, as his friends and colleagues, are respectfully asking to support a brother of our defense community and his family.
