Michael (Scooter) McInturff

Hello, this is one of the saddest things I've ever done. It's with deep sadness that I have to say that my youngest son, Mike, passed away on September 16, 2023. He had suffered from addiction for several years and had not been able to beat it. He struggled a lot these last few years, having lost his place to live and his job on his birthday at the beginning of the pandemic, on the same day. March 17, 2020. We tried to make a home for him here at home but try as he might, he just couldn't stay away from its vicious grip. When he passed, he was in Detroit living with friends that were trying to help him also. But try as they did, it wasn't enough to get him on the right track. And the night I had feared would happen, did happen. I received a call from his friend that they had found him and got him to Henry Ford hospital, and he sounded like things were going to be okay. But unfortunately, he had been too long without oxygen and there was nothing that could be done to bring him back. He survived for about 24 hours after he was found. He had people with him and lots of prayers and spiritual support to help him find his way on the other side. He's with his brother, Calvin and his Dad, Walt McInturff, as well as many other friends who passed in the same way. This terrible affliction must be ended in some way. It's getting worse and taking too many of our young people for no good reason. If you knew and loved Mike as so many have told me recently, any support that you can help with will be so appreciated by Mike's family at this painful time.

We plan to have a memorial service in the near future, but no definite plans have been set. TBA as they say. Thank you so much for your support of this.
