In Loving Memory of Michael Sage
Donation protected
On August 21, 2020, Michael Sage unexpectedly passed away from a pulmonary embolism. Michael was only 48 years old, and leaves behind six children; Amanda, Josh, Kara, Hannah, Yotham, and Eliana. We, his six children, would like to establish this fund so we can afford to give our father the funeral and burial he deserves.
Michael lived an unconventional life from the very beginning. Starting at a very young age, he grew up in a secluded religious community. By the age of 20, he was already a loving father to two children. Members of the group remember Michael as incredibly patient, with a kind and sensitive heart.
At 35 years old, Michael left the community with his wife and us, his six children. This meant leaving behind his parents, his brothers, and the only way of life he had ever known. Supporting a family is difficult enough, but Michael did so without much formal education or experience in the modern world. Even through hardship, his selflessness persevered. He opened our home to his younger brother, Nick. He taught Nick how to work on cars so they each were able to make a living. Michael did his best to support our family and was determined to make sure that we received the education that he never could. Whenever he had a little extra money, he would take us on a trip to a lake and have a barbeque, or make sure we got something special for our birthday. Michael truly wanted the very best life for his children. Anyone who spent time with him would know how proud he was of his kids.
His last moments were filled with love, and he showed how much he cared about his family to the very end. He will be dearly missed, and we only hope that we can make him proud and lead the life he always wanted for us.
Contributions to this fund will help us cover the funeral and burial expenses. Any donation amount will help! To help get the word out, you can share the link to your Facebook Timeline. We greatly appreciate your generosity and support during this time!
